Arts Festival General Information
Parking/Shuttles: If you can find it, parking is available downtown through street and lot parking. Parking and shuttle service are available at the Bryce Jordan Center parking area and costs $5 per car per day. Free shuttles take patrons to the center of the festival with arrivals and departures happening on the corners of Allen Street and Beaver Avenue. A Map and more information can be found on the Arts-Festival website.
Buttons ($10/$5): The 2011 Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts button provides wearers with general admission to selected performances and shows support for this terrific regional arts event. Show your button at these performances, and we're ready to entertain you on a first-come, first-seated basis. Buttons for ages 13 and up cost $10 each. We will once again offer a children's button available for $5.00, for kids ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are still free and do not require a button. Visit the Arts-Fest Button Page for more information.
Food: Many booths will be located along Allen Street serving a wide range of foods including strudels, egg rolls, pierogies, and Italian sausage. Other food booths are located near Fraser Street and Nittany Avenue, and Central Parklet and feature such items as strawberry shortcakes and Maryland crab cakes. No festival would be complete without such items hamburgers and hotdogs, funnel cakes, and fresh squeezed lemonade which are also found at various points through the festival. And, since this is a Penn State community, The University's famous Creamery ice cream will also be available. For more detailed food information, visit the Arts-Fest website.
Restrooms: Rest rooms on campus are in Sackett Building, Electrical Engineering East, and Willard Building, and downtown in the Pugh Street Garage, Fraser Street Parking Plaza, Hotel State College, Schlow Centre Region Library, Allenway Building, Fairmount Avenue School, and St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Portable rest room facilities are on Foster Avenue at Sidney Friedman Park. NO PETS, BICYCLES, ROLLERBLADES, OR SKATE BOARDS PLEASE To enhance your Arts Festival experience, please refrain from bringing pets and animals into the festival zone. Also, due to obvious hazards presented by rollerblades, skateboards, and bicycles in the festival zone, we discourage their use.
