The Pennsylvania Native Plant Society, in collaboration with Schlow Centre Region Library, presents: You CAN Garden! (You SHOULD Garden!)

Want a garden but don’t know how to start? What to plant? Learn how easy it is to garden to benefit your home AND wildlife, every Friday lunch hour in April!

Week 1, April 3 – From the Ground Up: How to Start a Garden. Learn practical ways to transform your lawn, select plants, and design a garden. With Justin Wheeler, Garden designer and ecological gardening enthusiast.

Week 2, April 10 – Bring Home the Butterflies! Free PA native plant while supply lasts! With Pam Ford, Penn State Master Gardener and Project Manager, Snetzinger Butterfly Garden.

Week 3, April 17 – Bring Back the Birds! Plants and Practices that make a difference in your yard. With Jacob Johnston, formerly of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Week 4, April 24 – The Garden-Wildlife Connection: Saving the World One Garden at a Time. With Harland Patch, Entomologist, PSU Center for Pollinator Research.
