Reptile and Amphibian Day

All programs will start at the Environmental Learning Center and each will include live animals.

9:00 am- Reptile and Amphibian Search- Take a short walk to search for reptiles and amphibians that are found at Black Moshannon State Park.

10:00 am- Timber Rattlesnakes-Join guest speaker, Matt Wilson, for a look at the Timber Rattlesnake. Learn how to identify timber rattlesnakes, discuss the myths and facts about them, and hear Matt's story about dealing with a venomous snake bite.

1:00 pm- PA Snakes- Explore the world of these often misunderstood creatures. Learn to identify some of the species of snakes that are found in this area.

2:30 pm- PA Turtles- What species of turtles are found in Black Moshannon State Park? Come to this program to find out. Find out how much they can weigh and how to tell if it's a male or female.
