Centre Spirituality in Nature

Join spiritual guide Christopher Passante, pastor of Mount Nittany UMC and avid outdoors enthusiast, as we venture on short hikes to meditate, read, journal, share and seek to find a deeper understanding of how we are called to be caretakers of God’s creation, and to learn more about God and ourselves along the way.

The two-hour gatherings begin at 8 am on Saturdays, where we will begin by being inspired by a reading, then set out on a short hike (generally under an hour) seeking a better understanding of the topic of the day.

We will pause for a short meditation and journaling exercise in nature, return to our gathering spot to talk about what we found.

The hikes are rain or shine, cold or warm, so please bring appropriate clothing and shoes, bug spray, sun screen, water bottle and your own journal/notebook and pen.

The locations and topics will be announced each Monday on this Group Page and on our Instagram page (Centre Spirituality in Nature).
Meet at 8 am, leave by 10 am
All hikes are FREE and open to everyone.

The locations are as follows:
July 13 Millbrook Marsh (Main lot)
July 20 Spring Creek Canyon (Fishermans Paradise lot)
July 27 Bear Meadows Trail (Trailhead, Bear Meadows Rd)
Aug 03 Allen Seeger Natural Area
Aug 10 Black Moshannon (Beach Area lot)
