About Grange Fair

A great end of summer tradition for the Centre Region, the Centre County Grange Encampment & Fair, more commonly known as "The Grange Fair," begins August 25th and runs through September 1st. 2011 marks the 136th year of the annual fair. Livestock exhibits & sales, camping areas, carnival rides, concession stands, concerts, craft exhibits, food exhibits, and tractor pulls are just some of the attractions visitors can expect to see at the fair.

 

General Information

Admission to the Grange Fair is $6 per day or $15 for a week long admission pass. Children 11 and under are admitted free. All grandstand entertainment is included in the price of admission.
Parking is $3 per vehicle, or a week long parking pass can be purchased for $10.

 

Wheelchairs and motorized scooter rentals are available for rent from T&B Medical of State College.

 

Members of the Grange Fair Committee ask visitors to adhere to the following rules:

• No bicycles, skateboards, or rollerblades are allowed inside the fair
• No alcohol is allowed on the fairgrounds
• No profane language is to be used at the fair
• No pets are permitted
• Children under the age of eight should always be accompanied by an adult

 

The Grange Fair will also be providing wireless internet service to campers and visitors of the fair. Visitors who will be coming from out of town can log-on to www.statecollege.com for a listing of hotels , restaurants , and local entertainment in the area.

 

Individual tickets or all day passes can be purchased for the carnival rides. There will be daily amusement ride wristband specials. Both Garbrick and Bartlebaugh will have rides available and will honor their own specific wristbands.
