Pop Up Ave Outdoor Market Returns to Downtown State College

South Fraser Street will be bustling with vendors, food, beer and live music this weekend as Pop Up Ave returns for its spring event in downtown State College.

The curated outdoor maker and vintage market will take over the 100 block of South Fraser Street from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

About three dozen new and returning vendors will be on hand. Familiar faces such as Amanda Leilani Designs, Little Lawless, Mixtape Paper Co., MollyauContraire, The Midtown Dandy and Moonrise Candle Co. in addition to some making their first Pop Up Ave appearance, including CieraMade, KaibellaCo and Zoils & Pigments.

Entertainment will include DJ Elbow Knee Knee, DJ Gingerman and bands Hot Fudge Yacht Club, Twin Court, Weird Dream, Joe Belle and La Musica De Echa performing on stage at the plaza, while nearby Elk Creek Cafe + Aleworks will have a beer garden.

Food vendors Super Duper Café, Bonnie Blue’s BBQ and The Cakeshop by Tati will be on hand, and non-alcoholic beverage options will include Bees Knees Coffee or mocktails by Happy Valley Nomadic Spirits.

Founded in 2016 by Brad and Andrea Groznik, Pop Up Ave was inspired by urban flea markets. After appearing multiple times a year, it went on hiatus beginning in 2020 and made its return last fall.

“We are excited to bring new vendors to Pop Up Ave this spring,” Brad Groznik said. “After the incredible community support of our past events, we want to see this event continue to be successful for our vendors and a good time for all attending. We are ready to bring the energy once again on April 27.”
