Doris S. Myers, of State College, is an artist, interior designer and property owner. She has been writing poetry since she was 6 years old. She has been an outspoken community activist and a frequent contributor to the letter-to-the-editor section of various newspapers. Her business background has included stints as an insurance broker, a property manager, a trouble-shooter for AAA and its affiliate Keystone Insurance Company, an insurance adjuster and an operation manager for GEICO Insurance.
