CATA names Patrick Sullivan director of information technology

STATE COLLEGE — The Centre Area Transportation Authority recently announced through a press release that Patrick Sullivan has been named its director of information technology.

Sullivan is responsible for directing all activities of the information technology department and for directing, planning, and scheduling the development, production and administrative processing of CATA’s technology systems and computer operations, both short- and longterm. He will assist CATA in the implementation of a number of large upcoming technology projects and applications.

Sullivan’s more than 20 years in information technology have included assignments as the senior program manager for HM Health Solutions in Pittsburgh and as the director of information services for the Guttman Group and the Fayetteville Public Works Commission, and others. He’s also served in the United State Air Force as an electronics manager.

Sullivan holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and business management and a master’s degree in business administration and technology management.

“The CATA board of directors and management staff are truly excited to have Mr. Sullivan as the newest addition to our executive team,” said Louwana Oliva, CATA general manager. “In the emerging world of Mobility as a Service, Patrick brings to the position an information technology background and expertise that will certainly further strengthen CATA as an organization.”
