STATE COLLEGE — Fraser Street Deli is no more, after owners Cristin and Josh Guiher sold the business in December.

The Guihers announced their decision on Facebook, saying they’ve received numerous offers over the years, but that it was the right time for them to sell after 13 years in business. The post said they hope to spend more time with their son, Colton.

The sandwich shop, located at 109 S. Fraser St. in State College, was known for its offerings named after Penn State legends. The Guihers added to the menu over the years, and grouped items into different categories of Penn State lore, including All-Americans, coaches, artists, presidents, basketball players, quarterbacks, linebackers, business owners, professors and other athletes.

“We really did enjoy serving every one of you, so we are sad to leave those friendships that we have built behind,” the Guihers wrote. “Many of those friendships go well beyond the typical owner/customer and employer/employee relationship and we are very grateful for that.”

The message did not include details of who purchased the business or whether the new owners plan to operate a similar business.
