STATE POLICE AT PHILIPSBURG

Kristie R. Gallaher, of State College, was charged with harassment after police said they investigated a domestic violence incident at 1862 State St. in Rush Township on Nov. 15 and found Gallaher struck a victim in the face with an open hand and threw an ashtray at the victim.

Police said a Port Matilda man drove away from a gas pump with the hose and nozzle still dangling, stopped to remove it and continued driving away. Troopers said Elwood L. Seifert, 72, visited Lykens Market at 202 E. Plank Road in Port Matilda Borough and drove away with the hose still attached Nov. 24. He then stopped after the hose detached and threw it in the garbage and left the scene without remedying the situation. Police said he will face criminal mischief charges.

A 50-year-old Julian woman told police someone gained access to her Kohl’s credit card and made purchases totaling $94.78 at 6:26 p.m. Nov. 24.

A juvenile was charged after troopers said he threw a stone at the rear door of the Rowland Theater and used obscene language toward an employee who approached him Nov. 26 at 127 N. Front St. Police did not provide an age for the accused but said they filed disorderly conduct charges.

One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash along South Eagle Valley Road near Goss Hollow Lane in Taylor Township at 5:49 p.m. Nov. 27, according to police. Troopers said Hope V. Guthoff, of State College, was turning left onto Goss Hollow Road when her car was rear-ended by a car driven by Nathan J. Dumm, of Penn Run. Guthoff suffered minor injuries, but Dumm and Guthoff’s passenger were unharmed, police said.

A 20-year-old Mahaffey woman will face charges of retail theft after police said she tried to steal $28.06 worth of merchandise from Weis at 501 N. Centre St. in Philipsburg Borough at 11:11 a.m. Nov. 27.

Ryan N. Bordas, 41, of Philipsburg, will face retail theft charges after police said he attempted to steal merchandise from Weis Market at 501 N. Centre St. at 10:15 p.m. Nov. 29.

A Rush Township woman told police her ex-boyfriend may have violated a protection from abuse order Nov. 30. Police said they are investigating a case where the victim may have been sent messages from the man through a business account.

A 47-year-old Philipsburg woman told police someone wrote obscenities on her SUV using a black marker at 315 E. Presqueisle St., Philipsburg Borough, at 12:05 a.m. Dec. 3.

Daniel J. Flores, of Williamsburg, was not hurt after he lost control of his car when he fell asleep while traveling along Interstate 99 near mile marker 59 at 7:12 a.m. Dec. 3, according to police. Troopers said he was traveling north in Taylor Township when he fell asleep and his car drifted into the passing lane. Flores attempted to correct the drift, which police said caused him to hit the right lane guardrail head on.

 

STATE POLICE AT ROCKVIEW

A 15-year-old Philipsburg boy at Philipsburg-Osceola High School will face simple assault charges after troopers said he head-butted a 14-year-old West Decatur boy as well as kicked him in the shin, causing swelling and lacerations. Troopers said the assault happened at 9:24 a.m. Nov. 15 at the school at 502 Philips St., Philipsburg Borough.

Harger Utility Contractors Inc., of Lock Haven, told state police someone removed several items from a work site and a piece of equipment was damaged in the Coburn Road area near East Street in Penn Township sometime from Nov. 7 to 28.

Joshua W. Stover, 24, of Spring Mills, was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence after troopers said he was believed to be intoxicated during a crash along Cooper Street near Upper Georges Valley Road in Gregg Township. Police said Stover was traveling south at 12:30 a.m. Nov. 18 when he lost control of his vehicle going through a curve, traveled into the oncoming lane and off the road. His SUV struck a fence, continued into a field and turned onto its roof. Stover was not injured.

Troopers said they arrested Buddy Foster, 42, with possession of a controlled substance after he was found with buprenorphine along Centre Street near Alder Street in Philipsburg Borough at 7:03 p.m. Nov. 20.

Someone threw pumpkins at several mailboxes and damaged them Nov. 21 along Lower Georges Valley Road in Gregg Township, police said.

Police said they are investigating a theft at a location along Middle Street in Gregg Township at 8:36 p.m. Nov. 22. Police did npt provide further details.

A 22-year-old Howard man will face a citation of criminal mischief after troopers said he struck the mirror of a vehicle belonging to a 22-year-old Bellefonte woman at 128 Dublinwood Drive in Boggs Township at 2:25 p.m. Nov. 25.

None of the five people riding in an SUV were hurt when the vehicle struck a deer along Jacksonville Road at 8:41 p.m. Nov. 25, according to police. Troopers said Anita J. Masden, of Howard, was traveling south near Winchester Lane in Marion Township when her SUV struck the deer.

Troopers said they filed charges against multiple juveniles after they damaged a track hoe by throwing eggs inside and outside of the excavator while it was at Empire Mobile Home Park in Potter Township on Nov. 25.

Police said they will charge a 27-year-old Delaware, Ohio, man after they found him to be intoxicated during a traffic stop at 5:14 p.m. Nov. 26 along North Pennsylvania Avenue at Overlook Drive in Potter Township. Charges are pending based on blood test results.

Troopers said they found a 24-year-old New York woman in possession of marijuana when they pulled her over along Interstate 99 in Spring Township at 11:58 a.m. Nov. 26.

A 32-year-old Clarence man was taken into custody after troopers said he was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be under the influence at 2:58 p.m. Nov. 30 along Route 144 in Boggs Township. Police said he also was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Troopers said an investigation into indecent assault was ongoing at a Zion Road residence from 9:50 p.m. Nov. 30. Police said a 43-year-old Bellefonte man approached a woman at her residence, made several sexual passes at her and touched her inappropriately without her consent.

Residents in Walker Township reported to police someone rummaged through multiple mailboxes along Sand Ridge Road, Ponderosa Road and Two Mile Road on Dec. 3. Troopers said someone removed mail, opened several pieces and threw the rest onto the ground. Investigators said they believe the person was trying to access Christmas cards and packages.
