ROCKVIEW STATE POLICE

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for a 34-year-old Howard man charged with hundreds of counts related to sexual assault crimes that occurred from 2009 through 2012 when the victim was 14- to 17-years-old. The incidents occurred in various locations in Howard and Milesburg.
The man was arraigned before District Magistrate Casey McClain and lodged in the Centre County Jail in lieu of $100,000 straight bail.
Police are continuing to investigate.

Police reported a package was delivered by the postal carrier to an incorrect address in Marion Township at 2 p.m. Nov. 14. Authorities said the package was unable to be retrieved by the postal carrier.

A 66-year-old Bellefonte man reported to police someone removed a hunting rifle from his vehicle while it was parked on Ridge Farm Road in Marion Township between 11:30 a.m. Nov. 28 and 8 a.m. Nov. 29. Police are continuing to investigate.

Police were called to state Route 192 at Grenoble Road in Gregg Township at 1:10 a.m. Dec. 11 to investigate a single-vehicle crash.
Police said Brett Himes, 23, of Brockport, traveled off the roadway and struck a guiderail, causing his vehicle to go airborne. It then struck a telephone pole.
The impact caused the vehicle to roll down an embankment, causing Himes to be ejected from the vehicle. He suffered moderate injuries.
Charges of DUI were filed.

Police reported a known individual set a vehicle on fire at the intersection of Rusnak Hill Road and Black Bear Road, Snow Shoe Township, sometime between 5 p.m. Dec. 19 and 8 a.m. Dec. 20.
Police are continuing to investigate.

Police reported the arrest of 21-year-old Ivy Hauser on charges of theft of property lost and access device fraud stemming from an incident that occurred at 8:50 a.m. Dec. 22.

Michael James Martorelli, 18, and Kaelyn Mary Edwards, 18, were found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia following a routine traffic stop along Interstate 99 in Spring Township at 1 p.m. Dec. 27. Charges were filed.

Authorities reported an inmate at SCI Benner was found to be in possession of suspected suboxone during a cell search at 6:33 a.m. Dec. 28. Police are continuing the investigation.

Police were called to Runville Road in Boggs Township at 9:43 a.m. to investigate a crash.
Authorities said a 17-year-old Snow Shoe boy, traveling south, failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in his 2005 Dodge Ram 2500. The vehicle began to spin until it struck an embankment where it rolled over, landing back on its wheels.
No injuries were reported and the driver was cited for not driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Police reported someone used a 37-year-old Bellefonte man’s Social Security number and attempted to obtain a Capital One card sometime Jan. 2. Police are continuing to investigate.

PHILIPSBURG STATE POLICE

Police reported a juvenile removed a relative’s debit card from her wallet and used it to purchase X-Box games without the cardholder’s permission Nov. 16.

Charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct were filed against 40-year-old Jesse McGill and 32-year-old Monique McGill, both of Bellefonte, following an incident that occurred at 11:50 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Ice House Bar and Grill in Rush Township .

No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle crash that occurred at 5:20 p.m. Jan. 3 along Halfmoon Valley Road in Halfmoon Township.
Police said Michael Kanady, of Port Matilda, was westbound when his 2009 Subaru Outback struck a cow that had escaped from its pen. Police said the cow was able to walk away from the crash uninjured, as did the driver.
