A Lock Haven woman was charged with a DUI after she was found to be intoxicated after crashing her car on Ridge Crest Drive and Sayers Dam Road in Liberty Township on July 2.

Police report that a 31-year-old Munson man had a PFA violation from July 6 to 17 at 3631 Casanova Road, Rush Township.

A 25-year-old Bellefonte woman has been charged after passing a bad check for $1,390.40 at Fisher’s Market in Milesburg on July 12 or 13.

Troopers responded to South Eagle Valley Road in Boggs Township for a report of theft. Upon arrival, they discovered that a known male suspect had taken approximately $1,200 from the victim’s bedroom. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are investigating an individual for possessing drug paraphernalia on Hillside Road in Rush Township from July 21 to 25.

A 47-year-old Coalport woman was charged after she passed a bad check for $875 at Fisher’s Market in Milesburg on July 20 or 21. A 47-year-old Warriors Mark man was also charged after he passed a bad check for $1,350, also at Fishers Market,  July 24 or 25.

Police responded to the Weis Market in Philipsburg for a reported retail theft July 24. Upon arrival, police discovered a Philipsburg woman attempted to take $23.99 worth of merchandise without paying for it. She was charged with retail theft.

A Blanchard woman was found to be under the influence of alcohol after she was stopped for a traffic violation on state Route 150 in Howard Township on July 28. A legal blood draw was obtained.

Police said an unknown person tied a horse to a fence causing damage at 110 Block Plum St., Haines Township, on July 28 and 29.

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on 162 Stahls Lane Extension, Taylor Township, overnight on July 29. They said that entrance was gained to the residence and two prescription medications were stolen from a closet. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Rockview.

Police said they received a call about the theft of a paper box from a woman in Penn Township on July 30. The investigation is ongoing.

Police responded to the scene after Tianwei  Ma, of Huntingdon Valley, crashed his car into a guardrail on Interstate 99 in College Township on July 30. No other information was provided.

Police said a 49-year-old Bellefonte man reported unauthorized charges on his Sprint account totaling $4,575 on July 31. Police are continuing to investigate.

Police said they found a 42-year-old Bellefonte man traveling to multiple residences along Raymon Lane in Benner Township for no apparent reason Aug. 8. Troopers report the man was manifestly under the influence of bath salts. Charges of public drunkenness will be filed.

Police said they charged Taylor Butterbaugh, of State College, with following too closely after he struck the rear end of a vehicle in front of him while traveling on Interstate 99 on Aug. 2. The other driver suffered a possible injury, said police.

Police report that an argument on Howard Divide Road in Howard Township turned physical when a 24-year-old man allegedly struck another 24-year-old man Aug. 4. The man was charged with simple assault.

Trooper responded to a fatal motorcycle crash on South Eagle Valley Road in Taylor Township on Aug. 5. Police said Dean Korman, of Bellefonte, died as a result of the crash and his female passenger suffered suspected serious injuries and was taken to UPMC Altoona. The crash occurred when Michale Boyles, of Port Matilda, turned left without noticing the motorcycle driven by Korman coming toward him. Korman slid down on the motorcycle to try avoid the crash, but struck Boyles' vehicle in the rear fender causing the fatal injury, according to police. An investigation is ongoing.
