Police said a Bellefonte man who is prohibited from purchasing and possessing firearms attempted to purchase a firearm from J&E Guns in Spring Township on March 30. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are investigating after an employee at the Nittany MiniMart on 321 N. Front St., Philipsburg, allegedly took money from the store in July and August. The investigation continues.

Police report that an unknown suspect passed three counterfeit $20 bills at Woodward Camp, 134 Sports Camps Drive, Haines Township, on Aug. 11.

A 34-year-old Blanchard woman has been charged with trespassing on Aug. 23 after her neighbor on Main Street noticed her crossing his property line after being told numerous times to keep pets secured and avoid his property line.

Police are investigating after a Toshiba laptop was reported as missing from a residence at Catty 9 Trailer Park in Julian on Aug. 23. A 35-year-old State College man has been identified as a suspect by police. The investigation is ongoing.

The police investigated a burglary that occurred on North Second Street in Philipsburg on Aug. 25 between 4 and 7 a.m. A TV, cellphone and tablet were taken. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Rockview at (814) 355-7545.

Police are investigating an incident where four vehicle tires were slashed on South Front Street in Philipsburg between Aug. 26 and 27. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP Rockview.

Police are looking for male suspects aged 16- to 20-years-old, believed to be driving a dark colored pickup truck, who are suspected to have taken a hearing-impaired child sign on Brush Valley Road and Brush Mountain Road in Gregg Township between Aug. 25 and 30. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Rockview.

 Police report they found a man to be in possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia in Potter Township on Aug. 28. The investigation is ongoing.

Police said they received a report of harassment that occurred Aug. 30 in Huston Township. The investigation is ongoing.

On Aug. 30, troopers responded to a crash on the Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. Police report the crash occurred after Elijah Helmick, of Osceola Mills, fell asleep behind the wheel while traveling west on the highway. He left the road and struck a tree, then the car rolled onto its roof. Helmick was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and suffered minor injuries. He was charged with careless driving. The police were assisted at the scene by Hope Fire Company, Moshannon Valley EMS and Folmar’s Towing.

Police report they arrested Lucan Digiorgi, 20, for alleged possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at Interstate 99, mile marker 80, on Aug. 31.

Police received a report that a chicken wire fence was destroyed at 110 Lucas Road, Bellefonte, sometime between Sept. 1 and 3.

Police report that Brent Miller crashed his car while a negotiating a curve on Purdue Mountain Road in Benner Township, south of Camp Lane, on Sept. 2 at 11:30 p.m.  Police said after losing control of his vehicle, Miller struck an embankment 5 feet off of the roadway and came to rest down a 5-foot-high embankment. Miller failed to contact police about the accident until the next afternoon. He was charged with driving at an unsafe speed.

Police report that Kaytee Lou Horner-Benninghoff, 27, allegedly struck a 34-year-old man in the face with a closed fist causing a bloody nose at 152 Middle St., Centre Hall, on Sept. 2.

Police stopped a 37-year-old Cleveland, Ohio, man for traveling 83 mph in a 55 mph zone on Interstate 99 at the Zion Exit on Sept. 3 at 9 a.m. Police report that subsequent investigation revealed that the man was under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending lab results.

Police report that a 55-year-old Pleasant Gap man drifted into a telephone pole due to an apparent physical condition at Suburban Propane on the 500 Block of East College Avenue in Benner Township on Sept. 6. Police said that the man was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of his condition and a legal blood draw. DUI charges are pending from the results of the blood draw.

Police are investigating a simple assault that occurred in the parking lot of the T&A Travel Center in Milesburg on Sept. 7 at 8:15 p.m. Police said an unknown man exited his black Freightliner with a low-boy trailer and approached another man and struck him in the face with a closed fist. The suspect than returned to his truck and fled the scene in an unknown direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Rockview.
