Police said they investigated a case of theft from a person on June 12 after a Bellefonte woman attempted to sell her diamond ring for $900 on the internet. She sent the ring to a Florida location and received a check for $1,800, but it turned out to be a fraudulent check.


On June 17 a bike was stolen from the front porch at 200 N. Ninth St., Philipsburg, between 4:05 and 7:55 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to call police.


Two juvenile males in Philipsburg were cited for harassment after they were involved in a physical altercation on East Spruce and North 13th streets in Philipsburg on June 17, according to police.


On June 17 police said they conducted a welfare check at South Eagle Valley Road and Interstate 99 in Worth Township. Upon investigation it was learned that a 48-year-old Tyrone woman who had recently driven to the location was allegedly impaired on prescription medication. Officers said a DRE evaluation was conducted and blood test results are pending.
