ROCKVIEW STATE POLICE

Police are investigating the theft of mail that occurred on Shirlyn Drive in Howard Township sometime Oct. 7-29. Postal inspectors have been notified of the incident.

Police said drug paraphernalia was seized from a residence on East Presqueisle Street in Philipsburg after a 43-year-old Philipsburg man was evicted from the property. A warrant for the man was issued and drug paraphernalia possession charges were filed against him.

Police said a drug possession incident is under investigation at the Centre County Correctional Facility after a man was found to be in possession of a controlled substance when he was brought into the central booking center on Oct. 28.

On Oct. 28, police responded to a report of an intoxicated man on Gorton Road in Snow Shoe Township. The investigating officer said that when he arrived to the scene the man was observed screaming along the roadway with concern that he was being hunted by an invisible or unknown person.

Police said the man appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and authorities took him into custody. He was then transported by ambulance to Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment.

Police received a report of a bus driver striking a juvenile passenger in Liberty Township on Nov. 6. Police said after investigation and a review of video footage, it was determined the bus driver did not strike the victim as reported.

Police said a 78-year-old Bellefonte man died of natural causes on Nov. 21 while he was incarcerated at SCI-Benner.

Police responded to a disturbance and noise compliant between two employees at the Hublersburg Inn, in Walker Township, on Nov. 21. Disorderly conduct charges against a 44-year-old Pleasant Gap man and a 30-year-old State College man were filled, said police.
