PINE GROVE MILLS — Professional organist Jim Rearick, from Bellefonte, will present a concert titled “Sounds of the Season” at the St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 277 W. Pine Grove Road at 3 p.m. on Dec. 1.

Rearick was born and raised in Farmers Mills, in Penns Valley. After four years of piano lessons beginning at the age of 11, Rearick’s home church purchased a Hammond organ, which inspired him to switch instruments. He began playing the organ in 1964 under the direction of his cousin, Roger Boop. Rearick has played organ and piano for 55 years, and has served as organist for several churches in Penns Valley, State College and Pleasant Gap over many years.
