on September 14, 2007 11:47 AM

Getwireless.net, Central Pennsylvania’s premier wireless Internet service provider, is pleased to announce that its high-speed Internet service is now available to residences and business located in the areas of Rebersburg and Madisonburg.  Getwireless.net is the first, and currently the only, Internet service provider to offer high-speed Internet access in these rural areas of Central Pennsylvania.

Residents who previously could only access the Internet via slow dial-up connections can now join the broadband age.  Getwireless.net is offering two residential service packages:  3 Mbps download/1 Mbps upload and 5 Mbps/2 Mbps.  For as little as $39.95 per month, subscribers in Rebersburg and Madisonburg can access the Internet at speeds that are more than 80X faster than with a standard dial-up connection.  Similar and higher-bandwidth options are available for commercial accounts. And, Getwireless.net is offering a discounted installation price for new customers in the Rebersburg/Madisonburg areas who sign up in the month of September.

Jerry Wert, Getwireless.net’s Manager of Business Development, stated, “The ability to affordably deliver fast, reliable Internet service to rural areas is a major advantage of Getwireless.net’s wireless technology, and we are very pleased to now include Rebersburg and Madisonburg in our growing service area.”  Wert continued, “We and the towns’ residents and businesses express our gratitude to Mr. Jim Crater, the tower owner who granted Getwireless.net the access needed to deliver service to Rebersburg and Madisonburg.  It’s a great feeling to bring Internet access to communities where high-speed access was previously unavailable, and we look forward to continued expansion.”

Getwireless.net currently provides low-cost, high-speed Internet service to businesses and residences throughout the Central Pennsylvania region, including the cities and towns of State College, Bellefonte, Spring Mills, Centre Hall, Pennsylvania Furnace, Boalsburg, Rebersburg, Madisonburg, Huntingdon, Lewistown, Mifflin, Altoona, Duncansville, and Hollidaysburg.  Service in the communities of Bedford and Everett should be available soon, and continued expansion into the region’s rural communities is expected.
