14 People Charged In Ohio State Downtown Disturbance

According to the Daily Collegian, State College Police filed charges against 14 people in connection with the October 25th downtown disturbance following Penn State's victory against Ohio State.
Four people, one student & three visitors, were charged with riot, a third degree felony. Those charged were student Robert T. Cook, 21, 127 Keller Street, Shane T. Elie, 18, Olney, MD, Will R. Froester, 19, Pittsburgh, and Luke Haden, 20, 340 East Beaver. Cook was the only Penn State student among those charged with riot. Cook was identified by a photograph.
Elie is a University of Maryland student and Forester is a West Virginia University student. Elie was caught climbing a light pole and Forester tried to light a shrub on fire.
Haden, a non-student, was observed climbing a light pole and he also tried to tear down a parking sign.
Others charged with misdemenaors include Penn State students Robert K. Gurgiolo, Wexford, PA, John R. Mahoney, 321 Fraternity Row, Ryan McCabe, 805 Stratford Drive, Brian M. Patterson, Dowington, PA, Justin C. Rajan, Downington, PA, and Mitchell Leo Stutz, 914 South Allen Street.
This was the first round of arrests in the incident and more serious charges could be filed against others in the upcoming weeks. (Read More)
