The first annual Homecoming 5K run/walk will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11 at 12 p.m., with an entertainment hour and registration staring at 11 a.m. The race will begin at the IM Building Field and participants will run the Campus Loop.

Entertainment hour will kick off with the Athlete fashion show, followed by a performance from RAM Squad dance team, and Penn State Trivia hosted by Alpha Kappa Psi. After trivia, The Homecoming court will be introduced and a pep rally led by cheerleaders and the ever famous Nittany Lion will kick-off the race.

The registration fee is only $10! The first 100 people to sign-up will receive a free t-shirt and the first 150 people will receive a runner bag.

The Homecoming Public Relations 5K captains are looking forward to the first annual event, and hope to establish the event for the future.

“Being a part of a university that thrives itself upon pride and tradition, our goal this year is to launch and establish the Homecoming 5K as another one of Penn State’s illustrious traditions in the years to come,” Captain Han Ma said.
