Altoona Man Pleads Guilty To Shooting In Patton Township

Yesterday in Centre County court an Altoona man admitted to shooting a Patton Township woman in the face during a robbery at her Toftrees apartment.

27-year-old Damien Webster pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy to commit robbery. Webster will go to prison for seven to 14 years and another six years of state probation once paroled.

Webster and 19-year-old Enrique Rodriguez of Brooklyn, N.Y., were accused of forcing their way inside the woman’s apartment in February 2007 intending to rob her of heroin.

Webster pushed the woman into a closet and shot her in the face with a small-caliber handgun.

The trial for Rodriguez has been postponed until August.
