Another vehicle fire was reported early Sunday morning behind the State College borough municipal building, 243 S. Allen St.
It's the second blaze reported in that area in less than a month. Shortly after 1 a.m. June 21, an apparent homemade bomb was discovered ablaze on a police vehicle in a government parking lot there. The device had been left on the car's trunk area, according to police.
An officer was able to extinguish that fire, which remained under investigation as of last week.
Then, about 3:40 a.m. Sunday, another police vehicle was found on fire nearby, according to preliminary reports. Penn State police responded to assist with an investigation into that incident, according to a university police log.
Borough police plan to release more information in connection with the latest fire.
