Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred early Tuesday morning at Penn State.

At 12:41 a.m., authorities responded to a burning storage shed in Lot Red A along Atherton Street, adjacent to the soccer fields.

The shed was used to store soccer equipment.

Alpha Fire Company responded and extinguished the fire. The fire destroyed the shed.

Penn State Police Chief Tyrone Parham says the fire is considered suspicious.

"The cause of the fire is unknown but deemed suspicious so it's currently under investigation," says Parham.
