Roving DUI patrols conducted by the Centre County Alcohol Task Force during Blue-White weekend resulted in several arrests.

The task force said in a release on Wednesday that six drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs between Friday and Sunday. The patrols also resulted in one arrest for drug possession.

Nine traffic citations were issued by officers participating in patrols and 65 people were warned about various traffic violations.

Officers from Ferguson Township and Spring Township conducted the patrols.

"The Centre County Alcohol Task Force would like to remind everyone that buzzed driving is drunk driving and you will be arrested," the release said. "Save a life and have a designated driver, take public transportation or call a private company for transportation."
