by on March 13, 2014 6:00 AM

Much chillier temperatures combined with the wind chill will make the State College area feel like it's below zero on Thursday, according to AccuWeather and the National Weather Service.

With rain and light snow overnight, AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Dombek says slick roadways are likely Thursday morning due to a rapid drop in temperature.

The high will be around 20 on Thursday. With winds at 20 to 25 mph and gusts up to 35 mph, it could feel like negative 15 degrees.

It's a significant change from just 24 hours ago. At 6 a.m. Wednesday it was 43 degrees. The temperature at the same time Thursday was just 14 degrees- a drop of 29 degrees.

Thursday night it will be mostly clear with lows around 15 and winds at 15 to 20 mph. Winds are expected to diminish after midnight.

Friday and Saturday are expected to be much milder with temperatures in the 50s. However, temperatures will likely drop into the 30s on Sunday.
