Centre County reported 109 new COVID-19 cases over the past two days to bring its total to 1,836 since the first was reported in March.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health is no longer providing COVID-19 data updates on Sundays, so Monday's report included numbers for both days.

The county had 72 new cases reported on Sunday and 37 for Monday. Among the new cases, 108 are confirmed and one is probable.

There were 650 new negative test results over the two days. A total of 23,157 patients in Centre County have tested negative for the virus.

According to DOH data, Centre County has one COVID-19 hospitalization.

In the past two weeks, Centre County has added 1,162 new cases, the vast majority in the State College and University Park zip code. On Friday, DOH announced a pop-up clinic for free COVID-19 testing will open at the Nittany Mall on Sept. 25 and that department staff will be working with county and municipal officials on recommendations for localized mitigation efforts.

Statewide, the health department reported 967 new positives for the past two days — 733 for Sunday and 234 for Monday — increasing Pennsylvania's total to 150,812.
