Charges Filed In Burglary, Stabbing

According to the Daily Collegian, charges were filed yesterday against a man who burglarized a home in Mifflinburg and then reported to police he was stabbed in downtown State College while searching for a friend.

Mark A. Hannah, 41, of Mifflinburg, is being charged with burglary, criminal trespass, and criminal attempt.   The charges stem from Hannah breaking into a home owned by Carson Sampsell between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on September 12th.  Sampsell and two friends arrived home and found Hannah in the house.

Hannah was struck with a golf club and was stabbed three times by Sampsell in the back.  Hannah was able to flee the house and ran into the woods.

Several hours later, Hannah claimed to be assaulted and attacked in downtown State College while looking for a friend having car trouble.   (Read More)
