'Daily Show' Host Trevor Noah to Perform at Bryce Jordan Center

by on August 20, 2018 10:59 AM

Comedian and "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah will bring his act to the Bryce Jordan Center on Oct. 7.

Noah will be joined by special guest Angelo Lozada for the 8 p.m. show.

A native of South Africa, Noah was already an international success as a comedian when he succeeded Jon Stewart in 2014 as host of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show." In shows like his special "Lost in Translation," Noah's comedy brings a global perspective to American culture and politics.

He was the first South African stand-up to appear on both "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman," and his memoir "Born a Crime: Stories form a South African Childhood," about growing up near the end of apartheid and the first days of freedom, became a New York Times bestseller.

Lozada has been the warm-up comedian for the "The Daily Show" and frequently tours with Noah. Lozada co-created and starred in the award-winning web series "Get Some!"

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at BJC ticket outlets, online and by phone at 800-745-3000.

Discounted Penn State student tickets will be available beginning at noon on Wednesday
