by on October 11, 2010 2:00 PM

How do you build Shrek from chicken wire and nearly 1,000 pieces of tissue paper?

Check out the following video from Emily Andrews-Rice, who has been chronicling the creation of a Homecoming float for StateCollege.com. (Read her earlier entry here.) This creative take on Shrek was a collaborative effort among members of Alpha Chi Rho fraternity and Omega Phi Alpha sorority. You can find pictures of some of the other floats here.

Andrews-Rice is still waiting to find out how the group placed. According to Penn State, the rankings will be announced at some point today.

Emily Andrews-Rice is a StateCollege.com Fall 2010 Intern. She is a senior double majoring in Media Studies and Theatre. Emily can be reached at eandrewsrice@gmail.com.
