Downed Power Line Closes Section of Whitehall Road

by on October 22, 2013 1:20 PM

Update: At 2 p.m. West Penn Power crews are still on the scene making repairs but Whitehall Road is now open. A dump truck accidentally snagged a power line and pulled it down. Flaggers may stop traffic occasionally, but the repair work is expected to be completed by rush hour.

A construction mishap has closed a section of Whitehall Road until further notice.

Work crews are repaving parts of that road and somehow knocked down a utility line.

Whitehall Road is closed between Plainfield Drive and Tadpole Road while West Penn Power crews make repairs. It's not yet clear how long those repairs will take to complete.
