Dunkin Donuts Announces Partnership with Penn State Athletics
Penn State athletics will “Run on Dunkin’” this coming football season.
Dunkin’ Donuts of Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania announced a partnership Wednesday with Penn State Athletic department.
Dunkin’ Donuts will now be the official preferred coffee of the Blue and White.
“Penn State football fans are among the most dedicated fans in college sports, with the top student section in the nation,” said Jessica Weissman, Dunkin’ Brands Field Marketing Manager in a news release. “We’re proud to partner with Penn State Athletics and look forward to giving our passionate fans the opportunity to display their allegiance with Penn State-themed products and promotions throughout the season. Nittany Lions truly run on Dunkin’!”
Tom McGrath, the university’s Associate Athletic Director for Business Relations and Communications further articulated the shared excitement.
“We welcome Dunkin’ Donuts into the Penn State family and are very excited to work with them. Dunkin’ Donuts has taken the opportunity to co-brand with Penn State Athletics to a new level, which will bring significant exposure to both parties. We can’t wait for our fans to experience this new partnership.”
Through local Dunkin’ Donuts, Penn State fans will have opportunities to benefit from this partnership. Nittany Lion supporters can purchase an “Ultimate Tailgate Package”, with Penn State related cups, a themed Box O’ Joe, and an official “Penn State Pride Donut”.
And on the Mondays following a Penn State football victory, fans will receive a medium hot or iced coffee at participating regional Dunkin’ Donuts stores. Free coffee samples will be featured at a Football Fan Fest in front of Beaver Stadium during games against Northwestern (September 27), Ohio State (October 25), and Temple (November 15).
