Eich Wants Committee To Review Voting Machines
on January 11, 2008 7:51 AM
Centre County Commissioner Jon Eich has announced his plan to form a citizens committe to review the county's touch-screen voting machines.

The committee, according to a report in the Centre Daily Times, would include approximately 10 people, including government officials and residents.  Eich stated that county residents have concerns about the voting machines' reliability due to the lack of a paper trail.

Commissioner Steve Dershem countered Eich's comments, stating that a significant amount of research was conducted prior to purchasing the voting machines.  Dershem said revisiting the issue is unnecessary.  (More info)
