Penn State President Rodney Erickson will host Wednesday the first of three town-hall forums organized for alumni.
Each of the events, intended to give alumni an opportunity to ask questions of Erickson, is slated for a different city: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York.
The Wednesday gathering will begin in Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. The Philadelphia gathering is slated for Thursday; the New York gathering, for Friday.
An online live stream will be available for the New York gathering, Penn State has announced. There's been no indication that the other two gatherings will be carried via live streams.
StateCollege.com will have ongoing coverage from the Pittsburgh session, though. Reporter Nate Mink will live-tweet from the event as it happens; he's on Twitter as @MinkNate. A news post on the StateCollege.com homepage will carry a real-time, running compilation of live tweets from Mink and other reporters who are there.
Additional, post-event coverage will be posted later on StateCollege.com.
The Penn State Alumni Association has pulled together the three town-hall events in light of the ongoing child-sexual-abuse and cover-up cases. The university is encouraging Twitter users to employ the hashtag #PSUdialog to keep track of the online conversation.
