ESPN Penn State Training Days: Before Tuesday Broadcast, Watch These Four Previews
Penn State will be featured on a one-hour ESPN or ESPN2 special Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m. In addition, Nittany Lion vignettes will be shown during College Football Live, SportsCenter and multiple ESPNU shows beginning Aug. 16. A five-part series consisting of 30-minute specials on ESPNU will begin Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 6 p.m. The remaining four air dates on ESPNU are to be announced.

Recalling the days following the sanctioning of the football program by the NCAA, tight end standout Jesse James recalls almost visiting another school but turning around and coming back to Happy Valley.
"Me and one of my other friends on the team were on our way out of town and were going to visit another school," James said. "Right as we were getting off the exit to get on the highway I made him turn around. That's when I knew that I didn't want to leave State College, this is the place I want to play."
