The Ferguson Township Police Department is investigating at string of vehicle vandalism incidents that occurred between Friday night and Saturday morning.

Police say vandals targeted 11 vehicles in the Overlook Heights area. Those cars were parked on North Atherton Street, Village Drive, East North Hills Place and the 100 and 1400 blocks of Curtain Street.

Damage included slashed tires on six vehicles, a scratch along the entire length of one vehicle, cut seat cushions in another vehicle, and a fire extinguisher discharged in a driveway.

Additionally, someone entered unlocked vehicles and ransacked glove compartments. Police say someone also removed a pocket knife from a vehicle on Curtin Road.

Police say a resident in the area heard young male voices around midnight, however, it is unclear if the commotion was related to the vandalism.

Anyone who may have information regarding the incidents can call Ferguson Township police at (814)237-1172.
