Ferguson Twp. Police: Man Sought on Rape, Assault Charges Apprehended in Woodycrest

UPDATED @ 3:23 p.m. Feb. 2: Ferguson and Patton township police apprehended Rosemond about 5 p.m. Wednesday at a residence in the Woodycrest area, in Patton Township, Ferguson Township police said.

Rosemond was taken into custody without incident, according to a news release. He was taken to the Centre County booking center and was awaiting arraignment late Wednesday, it notes.

Initial report, posted @ 11:05 a.m. Feb. 1:

Local authorities are looking for a 22-year-old sought on assault and rape charges, Ferguson Township police reported Tuesday night.

They identified the man as Fahron Rosemond. A police description identifies him as a black man standing 5 feet 9 inches tall; he has a thin build and black hair kept in cornrows, it says.

Rosemond has numerous tattoos on his arm and neck, police said.

Charges against him include felony counts of aggravated and simple assault, according to a news release. Those counts arose from a Tuesday incident, police said.

In addition, Bellefonte police have a warrant for Rosemond; they are seeking him on a rape charge, the release notes.

Ferguson Township police provided the image of Rosemond posted here. They're asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact township police at (800) 479-0050.
