by on January 17, 2013 8:41 PM

One child, a couple and their dogs are safe after a fire broke out on Thursday night in the family's trailer adjacent to Hi-Way Pizza on North Atherton Street.

At least four fire trucks responded to a call at 7:53 p.m., and around 8:20 p.m. an Alpha spokesman said firefighters were still trying to get the situation under control but could not provide any update or estimate of the damage.

Officials on site said a couple, their child and their dogs were inside the afflicted mobile home when the fire broke out but were able to escape and are safe.

The fire marshal has not determined the cause of the blaze at this time.

Smoke and flames could be seen over Hi-Way Pizza, 1668 North Atherton St.

Information will be posted as more details become available.
