by on September 20, 2013 6:23 AM

Hazardous weather conditions may slow the morning commute in the State College area Friday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for State College and much of central Pennsylvania.

Areas of dense fog will be present in many spots, reducing visibility below a quarter of a mile.

Drivers should slow down and use their low beams. Remember to keep a safe following distance and to allow yourself some extra time to reach your destination.

The Dense Fog Advisory will remain in effect until 9 a.m.
