Football Eve Event Marks Debut of Beaver Stadium Upgrades, Including WiFi

Fans attending Friday night’s Football Eve will walk into a new Beaver Stadium.

  • WiFi is available throughout the stadium.
  • Credit and debit cards will now be accepted at all concession stands

  • A camera has been installed on the south goalpost for in-house videos

Penn State Football Eve will start at 7 p.m. with gates opening at 6:30. Admission and parking are free.

Head coaches from 11 Penn State programs will be a part of the presentation and deliver a message, beginning with men's basketball coach Pat Chambers' talking about 'One Team,' according to the school.

Also scheduled to speak: Bill O’Brien (football), Coquese Washington (women’s basketball), Bob Warming (men's soccer), Jeff Tambroni (men's lacrosse), Mark Pavlik (men's volleyball), Robin Petrini (softball), Missy Doherty (women's lacrosse), Rachelle and Jeff Thompson (women's gymnastics), Josh Brandwene (women's ice hockey), Randy Jepson (men's gymnastics) and Guy Gadowsky (men's ice hockey).

Penn State opens the Bill O’Brien era at noon Saturday against Ohio.
