FOP Lodge Endorses Cantorna for DA

no description

Trial lawyer Bernie Cantorna picked up an endorsement from the law enforcement community in his bid for Centre County District Attorney.

Bald Eagle Lodge #51 of the Fraternal Order of Police announced it is endorsing Cantorna in the May 16 primary election. Cantorna is running against incumbent Stacy Parks Miller for the Democratic nomination.

“Law enforcement professionals work closely with the District Attorney,’ said James Ott, president of the lodge, in a release. ‘It is important that the voting public educate themselves on the candidates so that the right person is selected for the position.”

Bald Eagle FOP Lodge membership includes all police departments in Centre County as well as parts of Blair and Clearfield counties. Ott said the endorsement came after a majority vote of attending members at the lodge’s March meeting.

Cantorna, a partner in the law firm of Bryant and Cantorna in State College and Millheim, has practiced law for 27 years, 18 in Centre County.
