The 10th annual German-style “Weihnachtsmarkt”, celebrating Christmas in Lemont, will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The weekend will feature local crafts, music, bratwurst and treats, beverages, and good spirits in the Grain Elevator and Coal Sheds (aka the Granary), 133 Mt. Nittany Road.

Music will ring in the opening of the market of local products and arts and crafts on Friday, with grilled bratwursts and hot dogs available for dinner.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand all day Saturday, with speeder rides offered throughout the day by the Bellefonte Historic Railroad Society.

Christmas trees and wreaths will be for sale and craft demonstrations will take place in the lower coal sheds.

Come dressed for the weather and have a cup of hot cocoa or warming German drink with good friends and neighbors. There is no heat in the buildings.
