State College police on Tuesday arrested a man charged in connection with a murder in the Harrisburg area.

Dylan A. Reeves, 20, is charged with murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. According to PennLive.com, Harrisburg police were called by Amtrak police after the body of 21-year-old Daniel Kelly was found on Tuesday morning near a PennDOT building in the Greenbelt area. Police said Kelly died of multiple stab wounds.

An investigation led to Reeves as a suspect, according to PennLive.

Reeves has ties to the area and was arrested in State College in December 2017 on charges of corruption of minors and child pornography related to an alleged sexual relationship he was having with a 15-year-old girl. State College police said at the time that he had sexual contact with the girl in a bathroom at Schlow Centre Region Library. A search of his phone found nude photos of the girl, police said. Ferguson Township police also said at the time that they were investigating a Childline report that Reeves was having sex with and providing drugs to the girl.

Earlier this year he pleaded guilty to one count of corruption of a minor and was sentenced to three-to-six months in prison followed by five years probation. He had recently been released from prison and was wanted on a probation retainer in Centre County.

State College police located Reeves at about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and took him into custody.

A preliminary arraignment in Harrisburg has not yet been scheduled. PennLive reported that Reeves will be transported to Dauphin County soon.
