by on October 19, 2009 7:04 PM

Monday began the final countdown to one event members of Penn State greek life look forward to all year: Greek Sing.

Each year, the majority of organizations in Greek Life pair up and perform short renditions of popular musicals. Practice and preparation begins months ahead of time, and the final performance is held at Eisenhower Auditorium. The event is attended annually by many students (greek and non-greek), faculty, friends and family.

Today, a “Greek Sing Extravaganza” was held on the ground floor of the HUB and provided free food, prizes and entertainment. The main event was a fashion show, during which members from each greek duo or trio took the stage and displayed the costumes and overall “look” for their show.

Triad Delta Gamma, Acacia and Alpha Sigma Phi, which performed "Fame," won the fashion show and a restaurant gift certificate.

The final Greek Sing performance is at 2 p.m. on Nov. 1 at Eisenhower Auditorium.
