Once again, the 2014 First Night State College 5K Resolution Run attracted its fair share of lunacy on New Year's Eve.

Nearly 800 people joined in the fun -- many of them dressing up in ridiculous costumes to compete in the annual event.

The race started at the intersection of College Avenue and South Allen Street, with the runners careening across the Penn State campus before finishing back at the starting line.

Despite temperatures in the twenties, Artie Gilkes of State College won the men's division in a blistering time of 16:14. Rebecca Donaghue of State College led the women with a time of 17:48.
