Hundreds Speak up on Penn State's Capital Day

on April 06, 2011 9:06 AM

Hundreds of Penn State students and other university supporters made their presence known Wednesday at the state Capitol, rallying in the rotunda and meeting with legislators for Capital Day.

Their objective, advocates have said, was to promote higher-education funding and push back against Gov. Tom Corbett's proposed 52 percent state-funding cut for Penn State.

The Associated Press distributed a full report, available through the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader. The Patriot-News has video coverage. And OnwardState.com is carrying some commentary about the event.
