According to the Daily Collegian, a judge postponed his decision on the revocation of Sammark Inc.'s liquor license yesterday. Centre County Judge David Grine would like two parties to work the dispute out themselves.
Sammark is the parent company of Lulu's Nightspot, Tony's Big Easy, and Candy Bar & Lounge, three downtown bars which operate under the same liquor license. The two parties are scheduled to appear in court next Friday at the Centre County Courthouse.
The PLCB revoked Sammark's liquor license earlier this summer due to a "pattern of cited violations and risk of safety to the public" due to happy hour violations and the sale of alcohol to minors.
The three bars can sell alcohol in the interim until Judge Grine's decision on January 16th. In that time, Grime encouraged Sammark and the PLCB to talk. (Read More)
According to the Daily Collegian, Centre County Judge Bradley Lunsford set Andrew Rogers' bail at $500,000 Monday, the full amount suggested by District Attorney Michael Madeira.
