Labor Day Holiday Weekend Forecast Calls for Toasty Temperatures
The State College area, along with popular vacation spots, are in line for another shot of sizzle over the Labor Day weekend.
That means as we celebrate the unofficial last weekend of the summer season, it will be hot, humid with a chance of rain.
"It's going to feel like summer out there," says AccuWeather Meteorologist Tom Kines.
Saturday through Monday will be warm and humid, says Kines. And there may be a shower or thunderstorm during the three-day weekend, with a higher chance of precipitation in the afternoon and evening on Sunday and Monday.
Kines says he doesn't expect it to be prolonged rain.
"If you have outdoor plans for that time frame I wouldn't cancel them," he says.
In State College, temperatures during the three-day weekend are expected to be in the 80s.
For the New Jersey and Delaware beaches, it will be warm and humid with temperatures in the 80s and a chance of a shower or thunderstorm on Sunday and Monday.
For the Poconos, humidity will increase and there will be sun with temperatures in the 70s on Saturday and close to 80 degrees on Sunday and Monday.
