Latest Drug Charges Against Philipsburg Doctor Sent To Trial

On Wednesday, attorneys for Dr. Larry Adams said two drug addicts conned the Philipsburg doctor into prescribing them narcotic painkillers, then turned him over to law enforcement to save themselves.

After the hearing, according to the Centre Daily Times, District Judge Jonathon Grine ordered the following charges to be bound over to county court for trial: prescribing outside accepted treatment principles and criminal conspiracy to acquire or obtain possession of a controlled substance by fraud, both felonies, and misdemeanor counts of prescribing to a drug-dependent person and refusal or failure to keep required records.  (Read More)
