The Centre County Alcohol Task Force is teaming up with the State College Police Department and the Pennsylvania State Police to crack down on impaired drivers during Arts Fest.

All three agencies will conduct DUI roving patrols throughout the region during the arts festival, which runs Wednesday through Sunday. Additionally officers will swarm the downtown area and enforce all alcohol-related laws.

Approximately 125,000 people flock to State College each year for Arts Fest.

Last year's crackdown resulted in 14 DUI, nine minor’s law violations, six disorderly conduct and two public drunkenness citations. Police responded to 326 total calls over the course of the festival.
