Man Arrested For Bringing Gun To Court

According to the Daily Collegian, a man was arrested for a bringing a gun into court during a hearing Tuesday.

Hobson L. McKown, 592 Pierson Drive, State College had a Kel-Tec. 380 caliber gun removed after he arrived for a late afternoon hearing at Centre County District Judge Jonathan Grine's court.

McKown was charged with possession of firearms or other dangerous weapons in a court facility which is a third-degree misdemeanor charge.  Before the incident, McKown was seen taking pictures outside of the building, including signs indicating firearms are prohibited in the court facility.  McKown was confronted by Grine but fled.

However, McKown returned for his scheduled hearing at 4 p.m. and was stopped by police at the entrance of the building.  (Read More)
