Man Charged with Attacking Girlfriend's Ex-Boyfriend With Hammer

A State College man is charged with aggravated assault after police say he hit his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend with a hammer, according to court documents.

Dustin Emel, 20, is charged with two counts of felony aggravated assault. He is being held at the Centre County Correctional Facility on $15,000 bail.

According to police, at about 11 p.m. Sunday, the alleged victim was trying to exit his car on Stratford Drive when another man wearing a black ski mask and black sweater hit him in the head. The alleged victim told police he then grabbed at his attacker's mask and recognized him as Emel.

Emel allegedly then got into a car and drove away from the scene.

The alleged victim sustained a three inch cut on his head as a result of the attack, according to court documents.
